7 Tips for AirWayBill’s Travelers

September 14, 2017
We’ve answered your questions, and given our shoppers and shippers some tips and tricks of the trade, now it’s time to give our travelers – that’s you guys – a slice of cake too!
-
The more the merrier!
Carrying/Buying an item? Why not make it two? Or maybe three? You are allowed to carry as much items as your luggage can take or your credit card allows! The more items you carry, the bigger the amount you earn. So make that extra space count and earn as much as you can while you travel.
-
Trust but verify
Sealed or wrapped items are not allowed on AirWayBill, thus, if a shipper asks you to carry an item without checking it or has wrapped or sealed it, making you unable to check or inspect the item, we encourage you to decline the hand off especially when you do not feel ok or comfortable about it, and report it to us immediately.
-
Manners maketh man
Always be polite and respectful especially when meeting your shipper or receiver. A little courtesy may earn you extra brownie points as well as tips and connections that may be beneficial in the future. Remember, you’re building a reputation.
-
Gentle reminder
Some shippers or shoppers may forget about their order – yes, it happens even to the best of us – and you may have difficulty setting a meeting time. So set a meeting date ahead of time give them a bit of a nudge or gentle reminder that their item is on the way to prevent delays on your holiday.
Pro tip: Set the meeting time on the day of your arrival so you have more time to do your thing and enjoy your trip. In case you aren’t able to reach the Shipper or Shopper you can always come to our Facebook page for assistance or contact us at support@airwaybill.com where we’ll be able to help 24/7.
-
Confirmation
Always, always, remind your shipper, shopper, or receiver to give you the six digit confirmation code in order to confirm that the delivery was completed and to transfer the payment to your account. Also, remind them to give you a rating and review so as to give more credibility to your app profile.
-
Get tips from your receiver
Once you get the item delivered, the receiver is usually very happy, so use this time to establish connections and ask for tips on the place like where to stay, hidden local gems, the best places to go, and the best things to do. After all, nobody knows a place better than the one who calls it home.
-
Patience is a virtue
Most of us if not all of us may get a little impatient when waiting for the item we’ve been longing for, and some unexpected delays may make your shipper or shopper go into beast mode. Keep calm and cool your head, people in general are impatient and if you don’t have the patience, things may go south real quick and end badly.
