August 10, 2017

What if you could travel to all the places you want to see, the places you love–and earn while doing so? Wouldn’t you want to know how that works. Even more, wouldn’t you want to seize every opportunity to earn while you travel?

Traveling is on everyone’s bucket list–if not a way of life, certainly for the younger generation. With airlines giving flight promos left and right, and with #travel and #soulsearching becoming a trend, the movement of people across continents have never been at an all-time high. But for those who aren’t exactly born out of parents who can indulge what can be exorbitant travel fees, we are sometimes faced with questions like “what if I run out of money?”, “how will I survive while I’m on the road?” or simply “how do I start travelling when I don’t have much money?”. Well, here are some tips on how to earn while you travel!

  1. Get paid for your photos

If you’re reading this, then you’re a travel freak like us. And you’re probably an avid photographer, too! So take some cool shots and upload them on the likes of Shutterstock and iStock. Stock image websites pay people like you royalties whenever a download happens. You’re already doing half what it takes, now all that is left is to make some cash off of uploading them.

  2. Get a job on the side

If you plan to spend a bit of time in your travel destination, getting a part-time job like teaching, say you can combine your love for yoga by teaching classes in resorts; or signing up to help in the local surf shop or even waiting tables at the resident pizza place are great ways for you to get to enjoy what you do, meet people and earn money on the side.

  3. Put your empty apartment for lease

If you are traveling for a certain amount of time, it is now common to monetize that empty apartment space by putting it up for short-term leasing. AirBNB has paved the road even better to get your apartment or properties listed–ahead of your travel plans. You get money without having to break a sweat!

  4. Deliver stuff on your way

If you have extra space in your luggage, you can turn that into cash! There are applications like AirWayBill that allow you to find packages that need to be delivered to the same destination you’re going to. So if you want a hassle free

option of earning money, this is what you’re looking for!

There are various ways to earn money while traveling, especially during the summer and feasts seasons where people from all around the world travel to different destinations, all it takes is a bit of creativity, or even something as simple as free luggage space!
