You’ve probably read about AirWayBill and have a general idea of what we do and how we do it, and by now you’re most certainly just itching to start using the app but don’t know how to go about it. No worries, we’ve got you! Here is your ultimate guide to start using AirWayBill like a pro.

First things first

You need to download the app or signup on our website. AirWayBill is an online platform so we only operate either through our app or through the website. If anyone tells you otherwise, then you need to be wary and research if it’s a scam.You can’t be too careful these days.

Let’s get down to business

Now that you have the app or have signed up through the website, fill in the necessary information to register your account. We will ask for permission to access your calls and location, but why?

Giving us access to your calls allows us to help you and other community members contact each other within the app if you don’t want to give out your number. Your location helps us keep track of your whereabouts which in turn helps us locate the item that you need delivered/are delivering. Don’t worry about your privacy, you details are safe with us. As a Spanish company, we follow European laws which are one of the strictest in the world.

Now that we have the primary steps out of the way, it’s time for you to start shipping, requesting, or carrying an item with us, and here are the steps you need to do just that:

Shipping an item

1. POST A SHIPMENT

Upload a photo of the item you want to ship from anywhere in the world. When our travelers see your post they can offer to bring it to you for as little as 10% of the item’s value or a minimum of $20.

2. TRACK YOUR PACKAGE

Once a carrier offers to carry the item you want, you can start chatting with them to arrange a pick up location, travel date, and delivery location within the AirWayBill app.

3. GET YOUR ITEM

Let the receiver meet the carrier to receive the item you shipped and confirm delivery and payment. That’s it! No more steps. Easy right?

Carrying an item

1. SELECT ITEMS TO CARRY

Open the application and search for items to carry on your trip. You’ll also see ‘requested items’, which means that you can offer to buy something from the store and carry it. Filter and select based on your destination, item size you can carry, and value, and offer to carry an item of your choice.

Pro-tip: Check if the item meets the customs requirements of your destination

2. ARRANGE PICK-UP

Once the shipper or requester accepts your offer, you can now message them to arrange pickup or delivery. Just share your itinerary and discuss delivery options. Whatever works for you and the shipper or requester, works for AWB. 😉

3. DELIVER AND GET PAID

Time to pack it up and travel! Simply meet your receiver and confirm the delivery as soon as you can and your trip may just have paid for itself!

Requesting an item

1. START YOUR SHOPPING

Want something from abroad? Look for the store abroad that has the item you want, and post your requested item and where it can be bought and place a bounty. One of our travelers will then place an offer to buy the item and deliver it to you, all you have to do is say yes and accept. 😉

2. TRACK YOUR PACKAGE

Once our travelers offers to buy the item you want, you can start chatting with them in the app about where to buy it and when is the scheduled date and place you can receive it.

3. GET YOUR ITEM

Meet your carrier, receive the item you requested and confirm delivery and payment through the 6 digit confirmation code and that’s it! Or you could also strike up a conversation when you meet your carrier, make a new friend and expand your network!
